Do you remember that day, back in April, that it poured and poured here in San Diego?  I do, as I am pretty positive that Kirsten and Chris remembered it.  They say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day, right?  I will tell you that it certainly did not put a damper on Kirsten and Chris’s spirits, the rain did not bother them at all.  Kirsten looked amazingly beautiful today, her dress was stunning and a such a perfect fit on Kirsten, she was an angel.  The ceremony was beautiful and their vows were personal and unique, enough to bring tears to my eyes.  Surrounded by their loving family and fabulous friends, I think Kirsten and Chris will agree that this was a perfect day!! Bill and I are so honored to have been a part of this most important day in your lives.  ~Michelle

Meet Madison Pollard, born on April 22,2012 at 8:29p.m., weighing in at a healthy, 7 pounds, 11.5 pounds. I arrived at the hospital in San Diego, less than 24 hours later to photograph and meet her. Katie and Mike are first time parents and you would of thought that Madison was their third child, so relaxed. Madison on the other hand, was probably the most alert brand new baby that I have ever met. She definitely like the camera, she was looking right at my lens during the whole shoot. This is going to be a fun first year with Madison, I have a feeling she is going to be a natural in front of the camera. Oh, the fun we are going to have. You might remember Madison’s mommy and daddy from a little over a month ago, Kristi and Mike, and their maternity session in Rancho Santa Fe. Click here to see those photos. I loved Jenny and Greg’s engagement session, first of all Jenny has to be the sweetest person, so genuine, kind and always smiling.  The best part is when Greg called me the day of the session to chat with me about a surprise he was cooking up.  To make a long story short, Jenny and Greg got engaged a few months ago.  When Greg proposed it was a bit of a surprise to the both of them, so, that being said he did not have the engagement ring.  Fortunately, a family member is a jeweler and he was able to get the exact ring made for Jenny that she always dreamed of. The best part is it arrived the morning of the engagement session, that is when I got the phone call.  Greg wanted to surprise Jenny with her ring during their session, he got down on one knee and proposed to her once again, it was probably one of the most romantic things I have seen and photographed in a long time.  Jenny was certainly surprised and so excited, love it.  What a perfect afternoon for this very exciting time in their lives.  I am so excited for your wedding day! ~Michelle

Meet the ever so adorable Stockham family, Jeremy,Rachel and Lauren. Your perfect example of a Southern California family, especially the girls with their beach blonde hair and stunning blue eyes. I spent the afternoon on the coast in Carlsbad, on a gorgeous sunny day, capturing these most precious moments. Rachel, was dyeing because she had to wear a dress (she is the tomboy in the family) and kept asking her dad when she could change into her shorts. Lauren, the future model, just ate the camera up, this girl, is 100% comfortable in front of the camera. I will not be surprised if, in the future, she will be modeling. This afternoon was so much fun with the three of you. Jeremy, you are a lucky guy to have two precious little girls. ~Michelle

I just love it when my couples come back to me when their family starts to grow. I photographed Kristi and Mike’s wedding on November 11, 2009 at The Crossing in Carlsbad, such a beautiful day.  Needless to say I was thrilled when Kristi contacted me about 6 months ago wanting me photograph her maternity session and her baby girls first year.  Baby Madison is due towards the end of April and I cannot wait to meet her.  I met Kristi and Mike in Rancho Santa Fe at The Old Town Hall to capture this most precious time in their lives.  Stay tuned for the arrival of baby Madison. ~Michelle

Last week my cousin Anthony came by the studio so we could do a quick senior session.  We did a little bit of studio and then we headed outside to catch that amazing golden hour capture him, ahhh, my favorite light.  Anthony will be graduating this coming June for Vista High School, the Class of 2012.  Such an exciting time for him, as the college letters come in and he embraces these last few months of his senior year.  Congratulations Anthony!
