I loved Jenny and Greg’s engagement session, first of all Jenny has to be the sweetest person, so genuine, kind and always smiling.  The best part is when Greg called me the day of the session to chat with me about a surprise he was cooking up.  To make a long story short, Jenny and Greg got engaged a few months ago.  When Greg proposed it was a bit of a surprise to the both of them, so, that being said he did not have the engagement ring.  Fortunately, a family member is a jeweler and he was able to get the exact ring made for Jenny that she always dreamed of. The best part is it arrived the morning of the engagement session, that is when I got the phone call.  Greg wanted to surprise Jenny with her ring during their session, he got down on one knee and proposed to her once again, it was probably one of the most romantic things I have seen and photographed in a long time.  Jenny was certainly surprised and so excited, love it.  What a perfect afternoon for this very exciting time in their lives.  I am so excited for your wedding day! ~Michelle

Does it get any better than that?  Andrea and Adam, as I was editing your engagement session, I couldn’t help but, have a continuos smile on my face, the two of you are simply adorable together. ~Michelle

Accompanying them were their two dogs, Dexter and Rocky!

At first it was strange calling a dog Dexter. Dexter is the name of my cat and I’m now a firm believer that with that name comes trouble!

We walked throughout the streets of downtown La Jolla, utilizing the various alleys, walls and cool little walkways. I love shooting in the urban environment!

Then we put the dogs away in the car and headed down to the beach and caught a beautiful San Diego sunset! – Bill

Danielle and Andrew’s wedding was our last Studio Z wedding for 2011. They got married the weekend before Thanksgiving at The Admiral Kidd Club in Point Loma. It was supposed to be an outdoor ceremony, with the stunning San Diego Skyline as their backdrop, but the weather did not want to cooperate with us and it started to rain; I mean it poured. That being said, the ceremony ended up being in the reception room at The Admiral Kidd CLub, which turned out to be amazing. The city skyline lit up brightly and the raindrops hitting the window, made for an even better backdrop. The best part is we did all of the photos before the ceremony and literally made it inside in the nick of time before the rain started. We were able to capture so much and we were all very happy. Everything turned out beautifully. Danielle and Andrew we enjoyed working with the two of you and we wish you all the best in your new adventure together. ~Michelle

So we headed throughout the grounds of the LACMA stopping at various walls, stairways and interesting architectural structures. The coolest art piece was the lanterns at the entrance of the LACMA.  There are several photos below where we used the art piece in our photos.

We’ll be photographing Morgan and Travis’s wedding in October up in Santa Monica.  We can’t wait to be a part of their day!!

The couple was fun right off the bat.  Michelle and I love it when our couples are as excited about photos as we are.  They were very “into” the shoot and me and Michelle’s energy was off the charts.

We walked around Petco Park, Gaslamp and the trolley station; hitting all of our favorite landmarks.  By the time the shoot was over, both Vicky and Ramon were super excited to see the photos.  I told them I would try and get them a few teasers to them that evening, but I got tied up on another job.  Well, I think having their engagement photos ready for them only 5 days later will make up for that!

Michelle and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding next April up in Temecula wine country!  Congrats Vicky and Ramon.  -Bill-
