Danielle and Andrew’s wedding was our last Studio Z wedding for 2011. They got married the weekend before Thanksgiving at The Admiral Kidd Club in Point Loma. It was supposed to be an outdoor ceremony, with the stunning San Diego Skyline as their backdrop, but the weather did not want to cooperate with us and it started to rain; I mean it poured. That being said, the ceremony ended up being in the reception room at The Admiral Kidd CLub, which turned out to be amazing. The city skyline lit up brightly and the raindrops hitting the window, made for an even better backdrop. The best part is we did all of the photos before the ceremony and literally made it inside in the nick of time before the rain started. We were able to capture so much and we were all very happy. Everything turned out beautifully. Danielle and Andrew we enjoyed working with the two of you and we wish you all the best in your new adventure together. ~Michelle

So we headed throughout the grounds of the LACMA stopping at various walls, stairways and interesting architectural structures. The coolest art piece was the lanterns at the entrance of the LACMA.  There are several photos below where we used the art piece in our photos.

We’ll be photographing Morgan and Travis’s wedding in October up in Santa Monica.  We can’t wait to be a part of their day!!

The couple was fun right off the bat.  Michelle and I love it when our couples are as excited about photos as we are.  They were very “into” the shoot and me and Michelle’s energy was off the charts.

We walked around Petco Park, Gaslamp and the trolley station; hitting all of our favorite landmarks.  By the time the shoot was over, both Vicky and Ramon were super excited to see the photos.  I told them I would try and get them a few teasers to them that evening, but I got tied up on another job.  Well, I think having their engagement photos ready for them only 5 days later will make up for that!

Michelle and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding next April up in Temecula wine country!  Congrats Vicky and Ramon.  -Bill-

I get to meet new and intriguing people. I am constantly behind my camera capturing life’s most precious moments and all the time while I am doing this. I am able to travel to beautiful places, to capture one another’s love for each other. When I get the phone call or e-mail for a not so close destination to San Diego, I start jumping up and down; the adrenaline rush that comes over me is incredible. Elyse and Phil are getting married this September in Carlsbad, but live in San Jose. They were actually going to opt out of doing the engagement session, but I said, “Let me come up to you, there are so many cute area’s that we can do your session at; it is endless.“

Elyse and Phil are so cute together. Elyse’s genuine mind and spirit, Phil’s contagious smile and the way they look at one another is simply priceless.

I had a lot of fun today with the two of you. It was truly a pleasure getting to know you and I am looking forward to your wedding day. ~Michelle

I want to start off by saying that they were awesome. First, they had the afternoon mapped out as to where they wanted to shoot, had a change of outfit for each location and we shot for FIVE hours. Oh, my gosh, what a fantastic afternoon. That being said, I will be blogging them in three blog posts. There is no way I could possibly do it in one blog post. We started our afternoon at the stunning Palace of Fine Arts. I simply love it there and I was so happy it was on their list. To top it off, the sun was shining in San Francisco, a simply perfect day for their engagement session.

This was my first time meeting Jennifer and Frenel, for they booked me over the phone; sight unseen. The three of us had an instant connection and this day was so much fun. I especially adore their love story, it reminds me of a romantic movie and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this coming July in Long Beach. Stay tuned for part two!! ~Michelle

When Charlene tossed the idea at me about shooting at SDSU, I instantly became super excited and told her I thought it was a perfect location.
