A fall, Southern California wedding at the beautiful Arbor Terrace , a tropical dream. What we weren’t planning on was the “November Rain.” Secretly, though, as I sifted through the images during the reception, all I could think was these photos are amazing with the wet grounds and foliage. Very tropical, almost like Hawaii. Despite the rain, I have to say Laurie and Jamal were very calm. They ended up having the ceremony in the tent and Laurie was amazing, she did not let the rain bother her one bit. Today turned out to be simple, elegant perfection.
Patience. That is something to learn from these two. They were supposed to marry in September of 2008. But Jamal had to go away and serve our Country, the wedding was postponed. Like, I said, Patience. So on a rainy November day in 2009-a little over a year later Laurie and Jamal became husband and wife, ONE!
